I'm a Brahmin which means that in the old days I would be a priest. A servant of God and the keeper of the temple was prohibited to eat an animal that's been killed because of course, we believe all animals are holy. So all brahmins would be vegetarians. That tradition has been passed down and I'll never give it up. I don't mind if friends eat meat though, no big deal, so long as they don't force me to eat it or force me to go hunting with them one day or something. Pretty much all of South Indian cuisine is also vegetarian, so we're not like relegated to eating bark and twigs, we have some really nice dishes that are completely veg. One last thing is that I'm not vegan, I'm vegetarian, so I still eat anything that has eggs in it (including eggs themselves) as well as like dairy products and cheese and whatnot. Because of course, if a cow is holy, its milk is also holy. At least that's what Hindus believe.

I love singing, and have been singing since I was in 4th grade (so since I was 8). My dad brought me up singing to classical South Indian music (which is probably one of the hardest types of music to sing next to hindustani and western classical operatic music).
I used to be an Indian citizen and had a green card for the US. Now I'm a citizen of NO country! .... I mean I'm a dual citizen: both India and US.
